Job summary

US Foods Woodburn, OR is seeking a Fleet Reefer Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel reefer equipment. You will troubleshoot Thermo King and Carrier systems, document repairs with fleet software, mentor teammates, and uphold safety standards in a busy maintenance shop.

Qualifications

• 3 years verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• Must be willing to travel and attend training provided by US Foods.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (THERMO KING & CARRIER TRAILER REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS, Reefer Microprocessors, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
• Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
• Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
• Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
