Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Fleet Reefer Technician to perform diagnostic and repair work on diesel reefer equipment at our Marrero maintenance facility. You will troubleshoot, rebuild, and service Thermo King and Carrier systems, while documenting parts and repairs in our fleet software.

The role requires EPA certifications, tool ownership, and the ability to read technical manuals. Travel for training is expected, with a competitive hourly wage and strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years verifiable hands-on experience as a Fleet Reefer/Refrigeration technician.
• TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certifications.
• Must be willing to travel and attend training.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Must read and understand technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel reefer equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
• Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third party vendors and plan actions.
• Document repairs and parts used in fleet software; maintain clean, safe workspace.
