Base pay range

$34.00/hr - $34.34/hr

Our FinTech client is looking for part-time Community Manager for 3 months, 20 hours/week, fully remote!

The Ideal Community Manager Should Have

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in online community engagement/management, social media management.
• Ability to build and execute a community engagement strategy aligned with broader brand goals
• Passion for building positive relationships and enhancing brand presence.
• Experience managing or moderating a Reddit community (professionally) is often highly preferred
• Familiarity with building and nurturing online communities across platforms (Reddiit, Discord, forums, etc).
• Strong understanding of Reddit's platform, culture, and community dynamics.
• Hands-on experience with Reddit features: Subreddits, AMAs, flairs, auto moderator set up, moderator tools, post formats, and Reddit Ads (optional).
• Strong writing skills tailored to the Reddit tone authentic, non-salesy, conversational)
• Basic knowledge of analytics (tracking growth, engagement, sentiment)
• Experience in public relations or partnership development is a plus.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Be an active, authentic member in relevant subreddits.
• Join conversations, answer questions, and offer helpful insights related to the client.
• Communicate transparently and avoid PR-speak; focus on user concerns over promotion.
• Use casual, relatable language (memes, GIFs, pop culture) while staying professional.
• Respond to feedback with empathy and work with internal teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Share engaging content like behind-the-scenes updates, product news, and AMAs.
• Collaborate with moderators on key posts and community initiatives.
• Collect and relay user feedback to improve products and services.
• Involve leadership in AMAs and direct user engagement to build trust.
• Keep communication open and honest, especially during challenges.
