Job summary

HTC Global Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced developer to support and enhance a mission-critical REDCap platform hosted in AWS.

The role combines PHP microservices, MySQL management, REST API integration, and cloud operations to ensure a secure, reliable research environment. You will manage REDCap user projects, coordinate updates with the vendor, and implement authentication services while maintaining documentation and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PHP microservices development, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of MySQL database management.
• 5+ years of PHP configuration and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years of Python scripting for loading and querying data.
• 5+ years designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting RESTful APIs.
• 5+ years supporting enterprise web applications hosted on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance the REDCap platform hosted in AWS.
• Coordinate software updates, patches, and version upgrades with the REDCap vendor.
• Install, configure, and support REDCap External Modules in PHP/Linux environments using Apache or Nginx.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot REST API integrations and automated data flows.
• Prepare scripts to load data using REDCap import tools and APIs.
• Maintain MySQL databases, perform queries, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Support AWS infrastructure teams with servers, storage, networking, security groups, backups, monitoring, and SSL/TLS certificates.
• Implement and maintain OIDC integration and authentication services.
• Monitor application performance and resolve production issues.
• Create automation scripts for reporting and data validation using PHP and SQL.

Job Description:

Position Overview

Support and enhance a mission-critical REDCap platform hosted in Amazon Web Services. This role combines PHP development, MySQL database management, REST API integration, cloud application support, and operational ownership to ensure a secure, reliable, and highly available research and data collection environment.

What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities

Support the REDCap application hosted in AWS, including user and project management, reports, and surveys.

Coordinate software updates, patches, and version upgrades with the REDCap vendor.

Install, configure, and support REDCap External Modules in PHP/Linux environments using Apache or Nginx.

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot REST API integrations and automated data flows.

Prepare scripts to load data using REDCap import tools and APIs.

Maintain MySQL databases, perform queries, validation, and troubleshooting.

Support AWS infrastructure teams with servers, storage, networking, security groups, backups, monitoring, and SSL/TLS certificates.

Implement and maintain OIDC integration, Active Directory/LDAP, and authentication services.

Monitor application performance and resolve production issues.

Support backup, disaster recovery, and system recovery activities.

Create automation scripts for reporting and data validation using PHP and SQL.

Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and configuration documentation.

Coordinate with infrastructure, security, database, vendor, and business teams.

Track enhancements, defects, and maintenance activities using Azure DevOps.

Provide status reporting and support change and release management activities.

Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, HIPAA, and audit logging requirements.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience with PHP Microservices development, configuration, and troubleshooting

5+ years of MySQL database management

5+ years of PHP configuration and troubleshooting

5+ years of Python scripting for loading and querying data

5+ years designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting RESTful APIs

5+ years supporting enterprise web applications hosted on AWS

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting REDCap in public health, healthcare, higher education, or research environments

Experience with REDCap API integration and External Modules

Experience using AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, VPC, Security Groups)

Experience with Apache or Nginx web servers

Experience with OIDC/SAML, Active Directory, LDAP, or Single Sign-On

Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates and application security

Experience with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise tools

Experience with Twilio/SMS survey gateway

Knowledge of HIPAA, security, and data privacy best practices
