Job summary

SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is seeking a Red Team Penetration Tester to perform penetration testing and offensive cyber operations for U.S. Government and DoD systems. You will collaborate with Blue Team and cybersecurity professionals to strengthen overall security.

Minimum five years of relevant experience; active Secret clearance required, Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred. US citizenship required for clearance access.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years' experience in software engineering applied to program development; modeling and simulation for DoD/IT systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments; enterprise network understanding.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows and Linux logs and events; assess security posture.
• Develop and debug Web 2.0/Java/Perl/C/C++ GUIs and scripts; manage software configuration.
• Identify security flaws; apply STIGs and NSA-approved encryption techniques.
• Participate in code reviews and static analysis; contribute to SSAOM documentation.
