Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Red Team Penetration Tester to conduct offensive cybersecurity operations for the U.S. Government and DoD systems. The role requires collaboration with Blue Team members to enhance cyber posture and protect critical infrastructure.

Applicants must hold an ACTIVE Secret clearance; Top Secret with SCI eligibility is preferred. US citizenship is required for access to sensitive information, and travel is negligible.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience in software engineering applied to DoD or IT systems.
• Proficient with Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, and Cobalt Strike.
• Active security clearance required (Secret); Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows networking.

Responsibilities

• Debug and reverse engineer software.
• Analyze Windows events and Linux syslogs, boot logs and dmesg logs.
• Develop and debug Web 2.0, Java, Perl, Ada, C++, TCL/TK scripts and GUIs.
• Recommend software modifications to mitigate known vulnerabilities.
• Operate and administer computer systems running HP-UX, UNIX, Solaris, Linux and Windows.
• Identify security flaws in source code and understand code in VxWorks and Lynx OS environments.
• Apply NSA-approved encryption technologies and DISA STIGs.
• Participate in Code Reviews and Static Source Code Analysis.
• Contribute to SSAOM.
