Job summary

Steampunk seeks a Red-Team / Adversarial Security Lead to plan and execute adversarial assessments across complex environments. You will develop threat models, identify attack paths, and evaluate security controls to support risk-based remediation.

You will document findings, communicate risks to technical teams, and collaborate with security, cloud, and engineering groups to strengthen defenses across Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms. A government clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience including hands-on testing and red-team operations.
• Experience applying threat modeling methodologies (e.g., STRIDE).
• Experience planning and executing technical security assessments and adversarial tests.
• Deep technical knowledge of Windows and Linux security concepts.
• Experience with cloud architecture and security on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Ability to analyze findings and communicate risk and remediation clearly.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and adversary techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop threat models to identify threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities.

• Perform penetration testing and validate vulnerabilities and attack paths.
• Evaluate security controls and effectiveness through testing.
