Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Red Team Engineer to challenge our own systems by finding wrong assumptions, unmodeled failure modes, and design weaknesses before field deployment.

This deeply cross-functional role embeds with Systems, GNC, Software, Hardware, Mission Operations, and Test Engineering—reconstructing analyses, breaking models, and turning findings into actionable guidance that improves design and reduces risk.

Qualifications

• U.S. Top Secret clearance required.
• Hands-on track record designing/building and analyzing real engineering systems.
• Ability to find problems others miss: failure analysis, adversarial review, independent verification.
• Proven ability to independently own and execute deliverables with little to no management.
• Proficiency with physics-math scripting (MATLAB, Simulink, Python + numpy/scipy).
• Strong engineering background in Aerospace, Dynamics & Controls, GNC, Systems, or similar.
• Outstanding communication skills, including visual presentation of complex data.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute red-team designs, models, and analyses across the program.
• Develop and run analysis tooling to prove or break claims.
• Reconstruct and verify others' work; identify hidden errors.
• Collaborate with Systems, GNC, Software, Hardware, Mission Ops, and Test teams to translate findings into guidance.
• Bring hands-on systems-building experience to catch problems in analysis before flight.
• Present complex results clearly to engineers, leadership, and stakeholders.
