Job summary

Job Details: Job Location: PMC-Charlottesville Corps - CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA 22902, Position Type: Seasonal Full Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: Minimal, Job Shift: Day, Schedule/Hours: (24-36 hours per week)

This position is responsible for:

Recruits, trains, coordinates, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs; prepares records and reports regarding the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of volunteer recruitment methods and practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision.
• Ability to prepare accurate and complete records and reports.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and staff.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and evaluate the work of volunteers and staff.
• Ability to maintain volunteer and financial database.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
• Duties include extensive driving to and from kettle locations 50-75% of work time.
• Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying equipment (less than 40 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. and two years general office and/or data entry experience in a customer service setting,And
• One year experience working with kettle fund raising programs preferred,Or
• any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Valid State Driver's License.
