Job summary

Tyson Foods in Broken Bow, OK is seeking General Maintenance personnel to keep production machinery running and to perform setup, adjustment, and breakdown of equipment. The role requires flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts and learning Tyson SAP for work orders and daily documentation.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or relevant certifications, and be capable of basic reading/writing, math, and clear communication with management and team

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or technical certifications with knowledge of electricity, power transmission, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and shop tools.
• Ability to work with others to adhere to safety culture and potentially visit facility.

Job Details:

Job description:

• Applicants will be considered for shifts and hours posted.
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required.
• General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production.
• You must be willing to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery.
• Must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system.
• Must be able to read and write where required.
• Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.
• Must be willing and able to lift 70 lbs. with assistance on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for 12 hours.
• Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with Upper Management and team members via phone, in person, and in writing regarding the status of equipment repairs.

Requirements:

• Experience/history: a minimum of 1-year Industrial related maintenance experience (listed in the application) and/or technical certifications and working knowledge of electricity, power transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools.
• Applicants must be able to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture. If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for a visit to the facility.
• Prior Employee Waiting Period: If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire.
