Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Recycling & Warehouse Forklift Operator to support our Mills team. The role offers an hourly full-time schedule with a rate of $17.50 per hour and potential bonuses up to $250 per month.

The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, certification, and the ability to work a diverse team while maintaining safety and accuracy in donations, inbound/outbound shipments, and product preparation for shipment.

Qualifications

• No degree is required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Forklift Operator Certification is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Handles all donations with care and respect.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated areas.
• Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
• Efficiently move product from staging and storage areas into trailers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
• Use machinery safely and appropriately to tip or compact designated products for sale or recycling.
• Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to maintain tight inventory control and security.
• Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft.

• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.


• Perform other duties as assigned.
