Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Recycling & Warehouse Associate to join the Mills team. The role offers an hourly full-time schedule with a starting rate of $15.50 per hour and potential bonus up to $250 per month.

Primary duties include loading/unloading donations, preparing shipments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring safety and quality across inbound and outbound operations. Equal opportunity employer committed to diversity.

Responsibilities

• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated areas.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment with correct counts.
• Perform picking duties meeting service standards.
• Move product from staging into trailers efficiently.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories per guidelines.
• Operate machinery safely to tip or compact products.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Keep records for inventory control and security.
• Report theft or policy violations promptly.

Qualifications

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated areas.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
• Efficiently move product from staging and storage areas into trailers.
• Sort donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, salvage, and trash, according to established guidelines.
• Use machinery safely and appropriately to tip or compact designated products for sale or recycling.
• Maintain high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to maintain tight inventory control and security.
• Safeguard company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft. Report any incidents of theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, Risk Management, or employee hotline.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
