Job summary

Outagamie County is seeking an Equipment Operator I for the Recycling program. The role involves operating loaders, roll-off trucks, forklifts, and conveyors within a single-stream recycling facility.

The position supports recycling and resource recovery operations and requires adherence to safety guidelines. Hours are Saturdays from 6:30am to 12:30pm with potential for additional weekday hours based on schedule and business needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from high school or G.E.D.
• Equipment Operator I, sound general labor skills and apprentice level experience in the operation of light duty equipment.
• Employment is contingent upon pre-employment screenings including background check, drug screening, audiogram, and other evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Operates loaders, roll off trucks, forklifts, conveyors and other equipment in the recycling facility.
• Operates equipment at transfer station and loads transfer trucks.
• Performs daily pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Performs spotter or traffic control as needed.
• Maintains, cleans, and washes equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
