Job summary

Qualifications

• Must pass a medical physical and drug test.
• Must pass a background check.
• Employees grandfathered into position if qualified prior to April 2014.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal processing equipment using safe work habits.
• Observe processing operations to detect malfunctions and notify maintenance.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or with hoists.
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Safely clean equipment when jams occur.
• Follow all procedures e.g. LOTOTO, Fall Prevention, Fire Prevention.
• Clean up work area at the end of shift and keep areas neat and orderly.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality as essential functions.
• Organize materials to optimize space utilization.
• Dispose of waste materials in the appropriate manner; ensure cleanup is complete.
• Inspect to ensure cleanup is completed; maintain good housekeeping for safety.
