Job summary

The Waste Pro Recycle Center Yard Helper position is based in Louisiana and involves processing metal to prepare for shipment, inspecting loads, sorting materials and operating equipment within an outdoor recycling facility.

Preferred candidates have a high school/GED or equivalent, can use hand and power tools, follow directions, and work well in teams or independently. Physical duties include lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds and adapting to outdoor conditions; CDL is not required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow directions and work as a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare materials for recycling, inspecting loads and removing debris.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment inside and outside the facility.
• Ensure commodities are loaded, transported and stored efficiently.
• Assist with daily maintenance of concrete crushing equipment including cleaning, greasing and fueling.
• Observe and report any potential malfunctions.
• Greet and assist the public with friendly, quality service.
