Job summary

United States Tennis Association-Pacific Northwest Section is seeking RecTennis Instructors and Site Directors for local parks, schools and community sites in Seattle area. This position is part-time, hourly, non-exempt and seasonal, with on-call duties to support youth and multi-generational programs.

Instructors deliver curriculum, ensure safety and equipment readiness, and collaborate with Site Directors and Regional Manager of Recreational Tennis.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching tennis is preferred.
• Instructors can be an employee of any age over 14; Site Directors must be 18+.
• Dependability, communication skills, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to accept guidance and supervision and to lead activities.
• Passion for promoting tennis and serving participants.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, safe, and fun learning environment for all participants.
• Communicate professionally with parents, partners, and community organizers.
• Implement program curriculum and provide ongoing instruction at sites.
• Set up and breakdown equipment; ensure safety and transport if needed.
• Check attendance and ensure sign-off from parents at session end.
• Stay on-site until participants are picked up by authorized personnel.
• Perform marketing tasks as needed and represent USTA PNW.
• Follow USTA PNW procedures and protocols.
