Job summary

FIFTEEN WEST in New York City is seeking an AI/ML Recruitment Consultant at a VP/SVP-eligible level. You will own a national AI/ML recruitment desk, building relationships with biotech, healthtech and emerging tech firms across the U.S.

You’ll balance business development, candidate sourcing and placement, while delivering credible pipeline and outcomes. The role offers hybrid working with 4 days in office and 1 day remote, a strong commission structure, and opportunities to grow into leadership

Qualifications

• Strong technical recruitment background transferable to AI/ML.
• Excellent communication and the ability to engage senior stakeholders.

• Salary Range: $55,000–$95,000 base + commission
• Location / Working model: New York City - Midtown | Hybrid, 4 days in office / 1 day remote

You’ll join an established life sciences recruitment business and take responsibility for a national AI/ML market spanning innovative biotech, healthtech and emerging technology companies. The desk already has warm client relationships and a proven commercial track record, while the market remains highly candidate-driven. You’ll have the freedom to operate as an individual contributor or develop toward leadership as the team expands.

The AI/ML Recruitment Consultant will build and grow a national specialist recruitment desk, connecting high-calibre technical professionals with businesses developing the next generation of life sciences technology.

Role Highlights

• Own a specialist AI/ML recruitment market across the U.S., working with clients ranging from established biotech businesses to early-stage and stealth companies
• Develop existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities and expanding your network
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from business development and candidate sourcing through to negotiation and placement
• Engage confidently with senior stakeholders and technical candidates, including C-suite professionals
• Help shape a growing specialist team, with the potential to progress into leadership as the desk develops

You Will Need

• 2+ years of proven recruitment experience on a 180 or 360 desk; more senior professionals with 10+ years are also welcome
• A strong technical recruitment background, with experience in technology, financial services or another technical market transferable to AI/ML
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build relationships at senior levels
• Commercial awareness and resilience when operating in a candidate-led market
• The ambition to develop a specialist market and potentially build a team over time
