Job summary

SeaWorld is seeking an enthusiastic onboarding coordinator to lead the new-hire experience. You will mentor onboarding specialists, manage candidate processing, and partner with recruiting teams to ensure staffing needs are met.

You will support SOP creation and onboarding paperwork, assist walk-ins, and participate in local job fairs. A flexible schedule and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including opening, mid, and closing shifts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding processes for new hires and ensure a positive experience.
• Mentor onboarding specialists and serve as local recruiting contact.
• Participate in recruiting meetings and collaborate with outsourcing partners.
• Assist in creating or updating SOPs and onboarding paperwork (I-9, direct deposit, etc.).
• Support walk-ins and applicants during hiring events and fairs.
• Maintain professional communication with ambassadors, vendors, and guests.

What you get to do:

You will coordinate the onboarding proses and ensure that all candidates receive a positive new hire experience. You'll mentor and monitor onboarding specialist and act as the local point of contact for recruiting. You'll be a fantastic communicator, highly organized, and have outstanding leadership skills who will also work alongside the team to onboard new hires.

Specifically you will:

• Coach, train, and mentor team members to ensure positive candidate experiences
• Assist with having a pipeline of onboarding specialists to ensure we are fully staffed to support processing appointments
• Join weekly recruiting meetings and partner with recruitment outsourcing partner to ensure staffing needs are being met and/or that issues are escalated
• Provide input and make recommendations on improving or enhancing the onboarding process
• Assist in creating and modifying SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Onboard new hires by processing required paperwork (I-9, direct deposit, parental consent forms, etc.)
• Assist walk-ins with their application and with the hiring process
• Participate in job fairs, local community outreach and other grassroots recruiting as needed
• Order onboarding equipment (badges, ID's, etc.) as needed
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
• Perform other duties as assigned to include but not limited to front desk coverage, fielding questions from guests and ambassadors

What it takes to succeed:

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of related work experience
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; able to efficiently communicate at all levels
• Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business needs, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a team-based environment
• Self-driven individual that requires minimal supervision
• Proficient computer skills

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes
• Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
• Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
