Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator in Nashville to support end-to-end recruiting operations. You will post jobs, source candidates, conduct phone screens, coordinate interviews, and manage onboarding handoffs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, staffing, or related administrative role.
• Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS) and/or HRIS preferred.
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive candidate information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable productivity software.
• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, or high-volume recruiting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process approved Request to Post and Request to Hire forms; verify information before recruitment begins.
• Create, publish, refresh, and close job postings on career sites and boards.
• Source candidates through job boards, networks, partners, schools, and outreach.
• Review applications and resumes against qualifications; conduct phone screens and document results.
• Coordinate phone, virtual, and in-person interviews and provide instructions.
