Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to manage sign-on and referral bonuses for drivers and dockworkers, and to generate staffing reports for leadership in Warren, MI. The role requires strong communication, organizational skills and a comfort with MS Office tools.

Ideal candidates will have experience in recruitment or transportation/logistics, a high school diploma, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; able to multi-task and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Review, process and track sign-on and referral bonuses for driver and dock positions.
• Prepare weekly driver and dockworker staffing reports, including critical openings and productivity reports.
• Market research for potential new business or challenging locations including rate studies.
• Conduct exit interviews with outgoing employees and report results to senior management.
• Prepare and send out daily start lists for new drivers, dock staff and mechanics.
• Compile monthly turnover reports.
• Provide administrative support to recruitment department leadership.

The Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

• Review, process and track sign-on and referral bonuses for driver and dock positions.
• Prepare weekly driver and dockworker staffing reports, including the critical openings report, recruiting productivity report, and outgoing contacts report.

• Market research for potential new business or challenging locations including rate studies
• Conduct Exit Interviews with outgoing employees, and track results using online survey tools and reporting results to senior management
• Prepare and send out daily start list for new drivers, dock and mechanics
• Compile monthly turnover reports
• Providing administrative support as needed to recruitment department leadership team

• A sense of urgency, motivation, and grit
• Customer service, sales, recruiting, or transportation/logistics experience is a plus

This position is full time/ onsite Monday-Friday 45 hours a week in Warren, MI
