JOB SUMMARY:
The Recruiting Consultant vets and qualifies the best possible consultants and expert witnesses for IMS clients. This is a fast-paced, relationship-driven role. The ability to work closely in a team is critical. Driving recruiting activity to deliver top results is a significant part of this function.
Recruiting Consultants are tasked with qualifying expert candidates on high-profile searches. They work tirelessly to achieve success at securing top talent. Educating and selling to diverse audiences, recruiting a variety of highly skilled and knowledgeable experts, and quickly assimilating to all technical and functional aspects of a case are imperative.
Applying knowledge, across a base and distribution of cases, is essential. The Recruiting Consultant must exhibit the capacity to qualify potential experts across a wide variety of cases and manage communicating and positioning experts at appropriate times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with Account Managers, Expert Services Consultants and Researchers on specification calls to determine expert qualifications and requirements
- Establishes initial delivery deadlines and timetables
- Ensures solid communication relative to the status of searches, candidates and the marketplace and provides ongoing updates to the Search Team, Client-Attorneys, and expert Candidates
- Interviews each candidate to determine appropriate fit and carefully aligns these to the current case
- Collaborates with Associate Recruiters to keep candidates updated during the search process and ensures candidates are notified throughout the selection process, including those not selected
- Practices awareness of all searches to ensure qualified candidates are vetted and interviewed for all well-matched IMS Client opportunities
- Prepares and/or reviews all written correspondence, presentations, and oversees edits
- Oversees pricing component to ensure rates are within IMS margin requirements; negotiates rates, retainers, and terms when necessary
- Teams with Expert Services Consultants to host attorney/expert interviews; prepares expert candidates in advance of their scheduled interview call
- Confirms and gathers contracting details from experts once retained; delivers a successful handoff to Engagement Services

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility with persuasive written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to grasp litigation concepts
- Proficiency in researching, reviewing, and understanding new scientific, technical, and business topics
- Conducts effective telephone interviews and excels at active listening to ascertain information
- Practices independent thinking, is a self-starter, well-organized, extremely reliable, detail-oriented, and assertive as a team player
- Seizes ownership and accountability for responsibilities and on-time delivery of service for clients
- Works efficiently and effectively under pressure and with critical deadlines
- Produces high volume of quality/accurate work

- Practices excellent time management, analytical, coordination, communication (verbal and written) and proofreading skills
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously and with little direction

EDUCATION & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ experience in a Recruiting and/or Sales related function preferred
- Experience writing business proposals and candidate summaries preferred
- Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM) preferred
- Solid proficiency in MS Office – specifically Word, Outlook, MS Teams, and OneNote – required

- This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones
