Job description

Our client, a not for profit in Manhattan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist with strong high-volume recruiting experience to support day-to-day human resources operations and manage full-cycle recruitment efforts. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates while supporting employee relations, HR administration, compliance, and other human resources initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple open positions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

• Partner with hiring managers across multiple sites (schools, community centers, foster care programs) to identify staffing needs.
• Source, screen, and interview candidates for social work, education, administrative, and clinical roles.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory background checks, fingerprinting, and credential verification.
• Build a diverse, mission-driven talent pipeline aligned with Children's Aid’s anti-poverty and equity goals.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or recruiting.
• Demonstrated experience managing high-volume recruitment -nonprofit or human services preferred
