Vangst is partnering with a fast-growing, founder-led national cannabis brand to hire its first dedicated Recruiter. The company is a leader in its product category and continues to expand into new markets. This is a chance to build a recruiting function from the ground up: run your own searches, create the playbook, and grow alongside the business, with the support of a small, collaborative HR team.
What You’ll Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting from intake to signed offer for hourly, professional, and leadership roles up to the director level. Set sourcing strategy, manage the pipeline, make hiring recommendations, and close offers.
- Partner with hiring leaders to define success for each role, guide them with market data, and coach them on structured interviewing.
- Champion the employer brand at career fairs, campuses, trade shows, and on LinkedIn. Write job postings that people actually want to read.
- Lead new-hire orientation and help build training content. Check in with new employees through their first year to support retention.
- Drive engagement and results. Help lead culture initiatives, own your recruiting metrics, and make sure hiring stays fair and compliant.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or agency, across hourly, professional, and management roles.
- Strong presence both one-on-one and in front of large groups.
- Comfort with, and enthusiasm for, the cannabis industry.
- Self-direction: you plan your own week, follow through, and know when to loop others in.
- A builder’s mindset. Some processes don’t exist yet, and you’ll create them.
