Job summary

Dayton Freight Lines is seeking a proactive Recruiter to support Service Centers by recruiting, hiring, training and onboarding quality candidates. You will travel to service centers, career fairs, and events, partnering with the Recruiting Manager to meet staffing goals.

Responsibilities include building pipelines via social media, job boards and referrals, screening applications, interviewing hourly staff and interns, and guiding candidates through the ATS and onboarding process at the Service

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with recruitment processes and interviewing is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Service Centers, career fairs, schools or club presentations, and hiring events.
• Collaborate with Recruiting Manager to align recruiting strategies to meet goals.
• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc.
• Review applications for candidates at various levels.
• Recruit hourly employees and interns.
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually.
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers.
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system.
• Creating training schedules for new employees.
• Assisting new hires with onboarding and orientation at the Service Center level.
• Training new Service Center employees.
• Maintaining communication with Service Center leadership on staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned

Overview

As a Recruiter, you will assist Service Centers in the recruitment, hiring, training and onboarding of quality candidates.

• Willingness to travel to various Service Centers, Career Fairs, School or Club presentations, and hiring events

• Develop and source a strong pipeline of candidates using a variety of methods including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, employee referrals, search agencies, etc
• Reviewing applications for candidates at various levels
• Recruiting hourly employees and Interns
• Interviewing applicants both in-person and virtually
• Setting up interviews for Hiring Managers
• Following up with candidates during the interview process
• Advancing candidates through the Interview and Hiring Process in applicant tracking system
