Job summary

Life Unlimited, Inc in North Kansas City, MO is seeking a skilled Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. The recruiter will partner with program leadership to fill vacancies, source diverse candidate pools, and drive the hiring process across departments.

You will manage interviews, maintain compliance with employment laws, and support onboarding from offer to start date, using our ATS and HRIS tools.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recruiting experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field preferred.

Job Title Recruiter Department Human Resources Reports To Recruiting Manager FLSA Non Exempt SUMMARY The Recruiter works closely with all departments to determine hiring needs and help develop staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization BASIC FUNCTIONS AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with program leadership to determine job vacancies maintain staffing spreadsheetSource applicants through databases online forums social media etcSchedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materialsEnsure all required employment screening are processed according to agency policyAttend and host job fairs to recruit qualified talentEstablish and maintain regular contact with local colleges universities and high schools to promote career opportunities in IDD fieldAsses applicants knowledge skills and experience to best suit open positions Ensure personnel files are set up according to agency and regulatory guidelinesEnter new hire information into agency databaseEnsure new hire documents and onboarding is completedThe ability to effectively and efficiently use computers or mobile devices to input access modify or output information This includes the ability to quickly access store and retrieve data Stay up to date on current employment legislation and regulationsAll Other Duties as AssignedPhysical Expectations This position requires extended periods of sitting with some periods of walking and standing It may also require bending kneeling andor stooping and climbing stairs An individual in this position may need to drive a vehicle to resources in the community There may be extended periods of using a computer andor calculator Working Conditions Officehome environment with noises from office equipment telephones etc May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens andor infectious diseases QUALIFICATIONS One to two 1 2 years of recruiting experience preferred Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field preferredHighly developed communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of stakeholdersProficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking software or other recruitment systemsAbility to speak effectively before groupsWorking knowledge of employment law and legislationCurrent drivers license with acceptable driving record and access to reliable transportation to conduct visits to multiple sites plus attend community meetingsAbility to manage time effectively and maximize efficiencyMust Receive Seasonal Flu VaccinationEqual Opportunity Employer
