Job summary

Life Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a recruiter to partner with program leadership to identify vacancies and build a qualified candidate pool. You will source talent via databases, job boards, social media, and community outreach, and manage interview scheduling and screening processes.

The role requires strong communication, knowledge of hiring laws, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will also coordinate onboarding and maintain accurate personnel records while staying compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years recruiting experience preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Familiar with applicant tracking systems.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all required employment screenings are processed.

• Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience; maintain personnel files.
• Ensure onboarding documents are completed for new hires.
• Input, access, modify information using computers/devices efficiently.
• Stay up to date on employment legislation and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

The Recruiter works closely with all departments to determine hiring needs and help develop staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with program leadership to determine job vacancies – maintain staffing spreadsheet.
• Source applicants through databases, online forums, social media, etc.
• Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
• Ensure all required employment screening are processed according to agency policy.
• Attend and host job fairs to recruit qualified talent.
• Establish and maintain regular contact, with local colleges, universities and high schools to promote career opportunities in I/DD field.
• Asses applicants’ knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions. Ensure personnel files are set up according to agency and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure new hire documents and onboarding is completed
• The ability to effectively and efficiently use computers or mobile devices to input, access, modify, or output information. This includes the ability to quickly access, store and retrieve data.
• Stay up to date on current employment legislation and regulations.
• All Other Duties as Assigned

Physical Expectations

This position requires extended periods of sitting with some periods of walking and standing. It may also require bending, kneeling, and/or stooping and climbing stairs. An individual in this position may need to drive a vehicle to resources in the community. There may be extended periods of using a computer and/or calculator.

Working Conditions

Office/home environment with noises from office equipment, telephones, etc. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens and/or infectious diseases.

QUALIFICATIONS

• One to two (1-2) years of recruiting experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• Highly developed communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking software or other recruitment systems.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Working knowledge of employment law and legislation.
• Current driver’s license with acceptable driving record and access to reliable transportation to conduct visits to multiple sites plus attend community meetings.
• Ability to manage time effectively and maximize efficiency.
