Job summary

McCownGordon Construction is seeking a Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting across assigned roles, from sourcing to offer execution. This role works with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership to understand needs and deliver qualified candidates while upholding high standards of candidate experience.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in recruiting or related HR roles, strong communication and organizational skills, and experience with ATS such as Workday.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition coordination, or related HR experience.
  • Working knowledge of full-cycle recruiting processes, sourcing techniques, and candidate evaluation methods.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred).
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Recruiter is responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting activities across assigned roles, including sourcing, screening, interview management, and offer execution. This role builds on coordination, and operations experience to deliver talent outcomes, operating with general guidance while independently managing day-to-day recruiting responsibilities. Partners with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership to understand hiring needs, develop sourcing strategies, and deliver qualified candidates that align with business goals. Contributes to recruiting process improvements and supports an inclusive and high-quality candidate experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Full-Cycle Recruiting Ownership

  • Manages full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview facilitation, and offer execution.

  • Partners with hiring managers to define role requirements, candidate profiles, and recruitment strategies.

  • Drives requisitions forward by proactively managing candidate pipelines, timelines, and stakeholder communication.

  • Ensures alignment with recruiting processes, policies, and compliance standards.

  • Develops and executes sourcing strategies using job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and internal tools.

  • Builds and maintains talent pipelines for recurring and priority roles.

  • Engages and screens candidates to assess qualifications, experience, and alignment with role requirements.

  • Adjusts sourcing approaches based on market conditions and hiring needs.

  • Conducts phone screens and initial candidate evaluations to assess skills, experience, and cultural alignment.

  • Provides structured candidate summaries and recommendations to hiring managers.

  • Ensures consistent and fair evaluation practices aligned with company standards.

  • Identifies potential risks or gaps and elevate as needed for more complex decisions.

Process Improvement & Operational Support

  • Identifies opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, candidate experience, and efficiency.

  • Applies knowledge of recruiting processes, systems, and tools to support consistent execution.

  • Partners with coordinators and team members to ensure process alignment and smooth handoffs.

  • Contributes to recruiting initiatives, reporting, and team projects.

Interview & Stakeholder Management

  • Builds effective working relationships with hiring managers to understand business needs and priorities.

  • Facilitates interview processes in partnership with coordinators, ensuring effective scheduling and communication.

  • Prepares hiring managers and interview teams with candidate insights and interview guidance.

  • Collects and synthesizes interview feedback to support decision-making.

  • Maintains regular communication with candidates and stakeholders throughout the process.

  • Escalates complex or sensitive situations to Talent Acquisition leadership as appropriate.

Offer Management & Hiring Execution

  • Supports and coordinates offer development, approvals, and delivery in partnership with Talent Acquisition leadership and HR.

  • Presents offers and address candidate questions related to compensation, benefits, and next steps.

  • Manages offer acceptance, declines, and counter-offers with appropriate guidance.

  • Ensures smooth transition from offer acceptance to onboarding coordination.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition coordination, or related HR experience.

  • Working knowledge of full-cycle recruiting processes, sourcing techniques, and candidate evaluation methods.

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred).

  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS
