Responsibilities

Summary/Objective

The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment across the organization. The Corporate Recruiter partners with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, source and evaluate qualified candidates, and facilitate an efficient hiring process. This position supports recruitment for hourly, professional, technical, administrative, sales, and leadership positions across multiple company locations. The Corporate Recruiter will be a solutions-oriented, organized, and responsive team member who can manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including position intake, job posting, candidate sourcing, resume review, phone screening, interview coordination, candidate evaluation, reference checks, and offer preparation. Partner with hiring managers to clarify position requirements, preferred qualifications, compensation, and hiring timelines. Develop recruiting strategies and build candidate pipelines for current and anticipated staffing needs. Maintain accurate candidate and requisition information in the applicant tracking system. Provide consistent communication to candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process. Monitor recruiting activity and prepare reports related to open positions, candidate pipelines, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, agency usage, and offer acceptance rates. Establish relationships with schools, workforce development organizations, industry groups, and other recruiting partners. Coordinate with staffing agencies and outside recruiters when appropriate while identifying opportunities to reduce recruiting costs and agency reliance. Support onboarding activities and ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.

Responsibilities/Skills/Abilities
  • Manage fullcycle recruitment for multiple positions across different departments, organizational levels, and company locations.
  • Meet with hiring managers to understand position requirements, department needs, and desired candidate qualifications.
  • Create, review, and maintain accurate job descriptions and job postings.
  • Post open positions through the applicant tracking system, job boards, professional networks, social media, schools, and other recruiting resources.
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, resume databases, employee referrals, networking, community partnerships, and industry organizations.
  • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct phone and video interviews to evaluate candidates’ experience, qualifications, communication skills, compensation expectations, availability, and overall fit.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams.
  • Develop interview questions, candidate evaluation tools, and scorecards in partnership with Human Resources and hiring managers.
  • Provide hiring managers with timely candidate updates, feedback, and recommendations.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the interview and selection process.
  • Conduct professional reference checks as required.
  • Coordinate verbal offers and prepare formal offer documentation for approval.
  • Support preemployment requirements, including background clearances and other positionspecific screenings.
  • Maintain complete and accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for recurring and difficulttofill positions.
  • Develop relationships with colleges, technical schools, workforce development organizations, community groups, and other recruiting partners.
  • Coordinate and participate in career fairs, hiring events, networking opportunities, and community outreach activities.
  • Partner with staffing agencies and outside recruiters as needed and monitor agency performance, cost, and candidate quality.
  • Promote the company’s employment brand, culture, benefits, and career opportunities to prospective candidates.
  • Ensure recruiting and selection practices are consistent and compliant with applicable employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding candidates, compensation, hiring decisions, and other sensitive information.
  • Prepare and maintain recruiting reports and provide regular updates regarding hiring progress, challenges, and recommended next steps.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to recruiting processes, systems, templates, and candidate communications.
  • Support newhire onboarding activities and coordinate a smooth handoff to Human Resources.
  • Provide recruiting support for other Human Resources projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, followthrough, communication, relationshipbuilding, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adjust to changing business needs.

  • Experience with Paychex Hiring or a comparable applicant tracking system is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws related to recruiting and selection.
Education/Knowledge Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant recruiting experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of recruiting metrics, sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, and applicant tracking practices.
  • SHRMCP, PHR, or other Human Resources certification is preferred but not required.

Reports To: Director of Human Resources

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Backup: Human Resources Generalist and/or Director of Human Resources

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing officebased tasks.
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, including computers, printers, and phones.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through virtual meeting platforms.
  • Ability to move between departments and work areas, including office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments, when necessary.
  • Occasional lifting of office supplies, recruiting materials, or packages up to 25 pounds.
  • Periodic travel between company locations, career fairs, schools, hiring events, and community partner locations may be required.
Work Environment/Hours
  • Typically officebased, with regular interaction and collaboration with hiring managers, Human Resources, employees, candidates, and external recruiting partners.
  • The position may require occasional visits to manufacturing, warehouse, laboratory, and production areas.
  • The office is equipped with computers, phones, applicant tracking software, video conferencing tools, and other systems used for recruiting, communication, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Fulltime office hours are typically 8:30 a.m.5:00 p.m., MondayFriday, with occasional additional hours based on interviews, hiring events, travel, or business needs.
