Job summary

Park Nursing Home in New York is seeking Recreational Aides to assist with planning and facilitating activities under the supervision of a Recreational Director. Aides prepare resources, guide residents, maintain equipment, and reinforce safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include implementing activities, organizing supplies, documenting participation, coordinating with the Recreation Director to build the calendar, and supporting the care team in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with activities in healthcare settings or college coursework in recreation therapy is preferred.
• Previous experience with geriatric population is preferred.
• Familiarity with established emergency procedures is beneficial.
