Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of our patients and residents through planned activities that address physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs.

You will plan and implement engaging programs, document participation, and join care plan discussions in a collaborative care environment. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are preferred. Rotate hours include every other weekend and varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Effective communicators with clear verbal and written skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and record-keeping.
• Ability to positively engage with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Enrich the lives of patients/residents through planned activities.
• Provide input into the design of monthly recreation therapy services.
• Document patient attendance and participation in programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
