Job summary

City of Atlanta seeks a Recreation Operations Assistant - Transportation to provide safe, reliable transport for youth, teens, and senior patrons and occasionally move internal customers and dignitaries to programs and events.

You will work under the Transportation Supervisor, ensuring routes are covered, vehicles are maintained, and safety guidelines are followed throughout City recreation programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of related work experience.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license required.
• Preferred: Georgia CDL.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate coverage for programs in coordination with Transportation Supervisor.
• Enforce vehicle operation and safety guidelines.
• Transport patrons and internal customers to programs and events.
• Transport vehicles to shops for maintenance and perform light fleet tasks.
• Assist with program setup and breakdown.
• Perform driving tests for staff designated to operate City vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
