Job summary

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Recreation Supervisor to join the dynamic team at Harris Park Community Center. The position entails managing Camp Summit, School Break Camp and LSPR instructional programs, with a Monday-Friday schedule and occasional Saturdays.

The team seeks applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Administration or related field; at least 1 year in the field, leadership experience preferred, and CPR/First

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Parks and Recreation Administration or a related field is required; at the discretion of the Department, 6 years of direct experience may be substituted for 4 year degree; or a combination of education & experience may be considered.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in Parks and Recreation or related field with leadership experience preferred; and
• Basic first aid, CPR and AED certification required within three (3) months of date of hire.
• A CPRP certification is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary begins at $39,227- $ 49,043 per year
