Job summary

Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation is seeking a Recreation Supervisor to join the Harris Park Community Center team in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. This role focuses on managing Camp Summit, School Break Camp, and LSPR instructional programs, with Monday–Friday hours and some Saturdays as required.

You will supervise volunteers, part-time staff, and contract professionals, oversee program budgets, and contribute to hiring decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation Administration or related field required; 6 years of direct experience may substitute for a 4-year degree; or combination of education & experience.
Minimum one year experience in Parks and Recreation or related field; leadership preferred.
Basic first aid, CPR and AED certification required within three months of date of hire.
CPRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee Camp Summit, School Break Camp and LSPR instructional programs.
Directly supervise volunteers, part-time employees, and contract professionals for recreation programs, classes, facilities and events as assigned.
Prepare, administer and monitor the assigned budget(s).
