Job summary

Gwinnett County is seeking a Program Supervisor to develop, oversee, and schedule daily recreation programs and facility events at the Lilburn Activity Building. The role includes supervising staff, evaluating performance, and handling hiring and disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities also cover safety, permits, budget oversight, and coordination with departments to meet programming needs. The position may require varied hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation, Health and Human Services, Senior Services, or a closely related field.
• Two years of related recreation support experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Developing, overseeing, and scheduling daily recreation programs and facility events.
• Supervising staff: prioritizing, assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, and hiring/disciplinary recommendations.
• Ensuring safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Managing budgets, cash handling, and purchasing; processing permits and records.
• Coordinating activities with internal and external departments and marketing programs.
