Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Recreation Leader II to assist the Recreation Center Director in coordinating, planning, and supervising recreational and cultural programs at a recreation center or pool. Qualifications

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or GED certificate.
  • Experience: Three years of experience in leading recreation activities.
  • Equivalency: Six months of additional experience may substitute for each year of high school.
  • A bachelor's degree in recreation, physical education or related field may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, plan, administer, supervise and conduct recreational and cultural programs at a recreation center and/or pool.
  • Supervise others; evening and weekend hours included; work in centers, fields and facilities with potential weather exposure.
  • Maintain records and contribute to safety and compliance with city policies.
