Job summary

Gwinnett County Government is seeking a Program Supervisor to develop and oversee daily recreation programs and facility events at the Lilburn Activity Building. The role includes supervising staff, scheduling, evaluating performance, and ensuring compliance with policies while managing permits, budgets, and purchasing.

The position involves coordinating with other departments and marketing programs to the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Health and Human Services, Senior Services, or related field.
• Two years of related recreation support experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Valid Driver's License and CPR/First Aid Certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, oversee, and schedule daily recreation programs and facility events.
• Supervise staff, assign work, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure training.
• Enforce policies, hire/terminate and make disciplinary recommendations.
• Ensure safety of participants and facilities, handle budgets and purchasing.
• Process paperwork, permits, and Civic Rec entries for camps, programs, and classes.
• Coordinate with internal/external departments to determine programming needs.
• Market programs, advertise events, and engage via multi-media channels.
• Resolve complaints and manage public relations with user groups and volunteers.
• Oversee youth development programs, including camps and adventure days.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
