The City of Rock Hill is seeking a full-time Recreation Programs Assistant to facilitate, support, and staff community programs and events at City Parks, Recreation & Tourism facilities in Rock Hill, SC. The role involves working with staff, volunteers, and the public to ensure events run smoothly.

Responsibilities include assisting with programming, concessions, events, and outreach, as well as routine facility operations, security, and report preparation.

Qualifications

• Requires high school graduation or GED equivalent, or specialized vocational training.
• Requires at least 6 months of experience with recreation programs or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with programs, clinics, and special events at Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism facilities.
• Assists staff and volunteers related to programs and special events.
• Provides assistance and support to concessions, admissions, weekend call schedules, and special events.
• Assists with programming, partnerships, special events, and community outreach opportunities.
• Assists in hosting regional, national, and international events.
• Assists with security, maintenance trash pick-up, and facility issues.
• Assists and/or is responsible for opening and closing of facilities.
• Compiles daily, weekly, monthly and annual membership, usage, and financial reports.
