Job summary

The City of Rock Hill in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a full-time Recreation Programs Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and supervise community programming, clinics, and events within Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism facilities.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, sports, and recreation or related field and 1–2 years of recreation programming/administration experience. On-site work, valid driver's license, and First Aid/CPR/AED certification readiness within six months are required.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in business, sports, and recreation or a related field.
  • Requires a minimum of one to two years of responsible recreation programming and instruction experience, facilities management, or closely related experience.
  • The equivalent combination of education, training, and related work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and facilitates programs, clinics, and special events at Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism facilities.
  • Provides orientation, training, and supervision of year-round and seasonal programming staff.
  • Conducts supervisory staff meetings
  • Coordinates volunteers and advisory committee members related to programs and special events.
  • Assists in developing programming, partnerships, special events, and community outreach opportunities.
  • Manages operations of programs as it pertains to planning, coordination, scheduling, customer service, safety, as well post-program evaluations, and financial reports.
