Job summary

City of Grapevine is seeking staff to support The REC and related programs, handling registrations, concessions, and event logistics. The role requires customer-service excellence, the ability to work outdoors, and strong computer skills for registration systems.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and some holidays. CPR certification is expected upon hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to count money and make change accurately.
• Ability to use a calculator and perform basic math.
• Strong customer service and oral communication skills.
• Physical ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily operation of facilities and assist with recreation programs and events.
• Assist with program registrations, including heavy computer processing.
• Help with event setup/teardown in various locations and conditions.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and needs.
• Perform concessions, housekeeping, and general maintenance as needed.
• Ensure safety of spectators and participants in programs and facilities.
• Complete reports and submit to supervisor.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance for the position.
• Interact professionally with the public and coworkers.
