Job summary

The Big Bear Valley Recreation and Parks District is seeking a Recreation Program Coordinator to plan, develop and coordinate recreation programs, special events; youth activities; aquatics; youth and adult sports; senior citizens and special interest classes for the community and oversees staff and volunteers who assist with programs in the Big Bear Valley Recreation and Parks Districts.

The position is located in the mountain area of Big Bear, and requires evening, weekend, and holiday

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Two years of coordinating youth/adult/senior activities experience.
• CPR/AED certification within 12 months of hire (and maintained).

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and coordinate recreation programs and special events.
• Oversee youth activities, aquatics, youth/adult sports, seniors, and classes.
• Supervise staff and volunteers assisting with programs.
