The City of Roanoke is seeking a Recreation Program Leader to be responsible for planning, implementing, leading and facilitating; aquatics, fitness, wellness, trips and tours, arts and culture programming.
The successful candidate would be responsible for performing specialized work as it pertains to fitness and movement, lifelong wellness, arts, leisure and aquatic operations, supervision of aquatic staff and administrative paperwork.
Work will be performed under the general supervision of a full-time Recreation Supervisor and/or Coordinator. Applicants must obtain valid certificate in ARC Lifeguard training within 6 months of being hired; standard First Aid, CPR for Professional Rescuer required.
Work will be daytime, some evenings and weekends.

Minimum requirements include any combination of education and experience equivalent to two (2) years of college with emphasis on recreation program planning and implementation, as well as possession of a valid driver's permit issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
