Job summary

Stafford County in Virginia is seeking an intermediate professional to plan and implement the County’s recreational programs. Duties are performed under the general direction of the Recreation Program Supervisor, with supervision over assigned personnel.

The position involves planning, organizing, and evaluating programs for all ages, training staff, and maintaining records, with a focus on safety and effective public service. A valid driver's license and First Aid/CPR certification are required.

The hiring salary for this position is $28.93/hour to $39.78/hour based on experience.

The full salary range for this position is $28.93/hour to $50.63/hour to provide opportunity for growth and development.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in recreation and some experience in community recreation programs or any combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience is required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Certified in Community First Aide and Safety (First Aid and CPR)
