Job summary

Convalescent Center of N. Long Beach is hiring a Recreation Program Director to lead activity and recreation programs for our residents in a long-term care setting.

You will develop, plan, organize and direct programs aligned with state and federal guidelines, focusing on the physical, mental, spiritual and psychosocial well-being of each resident. A current license in Arts/Music/Dance therapy, Recreation Therapy or Occupational Therapy is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active and valid license in one of the eligible therapies or Recreation Therapy.
• At least 2+ years in a social or recreational program with 1 year in a mental/behavioral health setting.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and long-term care regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, organize and direct activity/recreation programs per guidelines.
• Ensure programs support residents' physical, mental, spiritual and psychosocial well-being.
• Lead implementation in line with state and federal regulations and company policies.
