Job summary

Convalescent Center of N. Long Beach is hiring a Recreation Assistant to lead group and independent activities for our resident population.

You will assist in planning, implementing and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs in accordance with each resident’s assessment and care plan. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; ability to plan and lead groups; and the capability to multi-task for individual resident needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to plan and lead groups.
• Able to multi-task and plan for individual needs.
• Experience in activity programming (nice to have).
• Experience in skilled nursing environment or working with elderly population (nice to have).
• Experience with dementia care or long-term care (nice to have).
