Position Summary
- Creating weekly social media posts to cover all areas of the recreation department, including club sports, fitness centers, intramurals, and aquatics.
- Managing a social media calendar/schedule via Hootsuite.
- Maintaining waivers and tracking system for image/likeness usage on recreation marketing materials.
- Content and design creation for the Villanova recreation website and marketing materials to be dispersed around campus.
- Creating and publishing a monthly newsletter via MailChimp.
- Attending biweekly meetings to discuss upcoming marketing needs and projects.
- Various other marketing projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram (including Reels), Twitter, and TikTok – and staying up to date with current social media trends.
- Ability to represent the Villanova recreation brand (including university color/verbiage guidelines) in a way that engages the target audience while reflecting Villanova’s mission and values appropriately.
- Comfort with various marketing tools/software systems (or willingness to learn how to utilize them) including Canva, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, AEM, etc.
