The iconic Diplomat Beach Resort is looking for a Recreation Manager to join their team! This stunning 1000 room oceanfront resort is the perfect getaway with two beachside pools, a Dip & Slide splash pad for kids, and 1,000 linear feet of alabaster beach. Savor stunning views, delicious dining options, and endless sunshine in Hollywood, Florida.

Ideal candidates for this role must have hotel experience, at least two years in recreation management, full availability, and a creative, outgoing personality. They must be ready to assist guests with any needs that may arise!

What will I be doing?

As a Recreation Manager, you would be responsible for directing and organizing all activities and services related to Recreation services, programs and events in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Lead and direct all Recreation operations to include, but not limited to, guest service, food and beverage selection and quality, merchandising and marketing, inventory management and cost controls, outlet reservations, systems use and management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation.
  • Oversee and direct the coordination, promotion and facilitation of all activities, programs and events for Recreation operations (i.e. tennis tournaments, pool and water activities and contests, children's programs, etc.)
  • Plan, organize and execute special events.
  • Monitor and develop department head and team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
  • Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
