A Senior Sales Manager is responsible for securing groups and conventions by building and establishing relationships with customers. Hilton seeks dynamic, well-rounded, and business-minded individuals. The hotel sales office is a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, serving as a launchpad for career growth in hospitality.

What will I be doing?

  • Research, solicit, and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing room revenue to meet and exceed lead generation goals.
  • Represent the hotel in developing market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing accounts. Strive to maximize revenue and profitability across all hotel revenue streams.
  • Develop business strategies by analyzing hotel and market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to optimize lead revenue, and achieving sales targets.

Position Statement

This role requires strong sales, communication, and networking skills. Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate, and secure new revenue for the hotel.

  • Customer and Account Management: Use strong sales skills to create customer value, differentiate Hilton from competitors, and bring clear value to customers and their organizations.
  • Prospecting: Master the prospecting process, identify potential customers, and develop effective call strategies.
  • Negotiations: Understand customer and business leader expectations and adapt to market changes.

Position Summary

As a team member, you will be responsible for:

  • Customer and Account Management: Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business. Develop and execute plans for outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events. Maintain a pipeline of opportunities aligned with business objectives. Represent the hotel in all sales interactions, including proposals and contracts. Conduct site inspections tailored to customer needs. Coordinate customer specifications via the lead management system, ensuring accurate data entry in Delphi FDC.
  • Prospecting: Generate new leads through database research and proactive efforts, aiming to maximize room revenue and surpass lead goals. Develop strategies to increase market share from competitors. Engage in outside sales activities to uncover customer needs and build relationships.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate contracts and agreements, providing solutions that meet financial goals and strengthen customer relationships. Collaborate with Hilton Worldwide Sales and Legal teams during contract processes.

What are we looking for?

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least two years of hotel experience in guest contact areas; previous sales experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel on short notice and adapt to schedule changes
  • Professional presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills
