The ideal candidate will be passionate about pastries, motivated to learn and grow, hold high-volume production experience, and must possess the ability to read recipes. Hotel experience and In-Room Dining experience are preferred, but not required. This is a union position.

This stunning 1000 room oceanfront resort is the perfect getaway with two beachside pools, a Dip & Slide splash pad for kids, and 1,000 linear feet of alabaster beach. Savor stunning views, delicious dining options, and endless sunshine in Hollywood, Florida.

Shift Pattern: Full availability is required, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. This position will primarily support the PM shift (1:00 PM–9:00 PM); however, flexibility to support Mid and AM shifts is also required.

Pay Rate: $22.80 per hour.

What will I be doing?

As a Pastry Cook, you would be responsible for creating, preparing, producing, and baking all pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts for food and beverage outlets in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local, and company regulations
  • Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
