Job summary

The City of Goodyear is seeking a Ballpark Event Services Lead to support Spring Training and other events at Goodyear Ballpark and Recreational Complex. You will help set up, coordinate, supervise and tear down events, overseeing staff and volunteers across ticketing, transportation, guest services, ushers and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Resolves customer issues and ensures excellent service to guests.
• Ensures guest safety and enforces ballpark policies.

The Event Services positions are temporary, part-time positions to assist with events located at Goodyear Ballpark and Recreational Complex. EXAMINATION PROCESS

Essential Functions

• Implements and executes operational plans for assigned areas. Supervises activities and facility by providing direction, overseeing, and delegating work to Event Services staff/volunteers. Ensures/documents breaks for staff/volunteers.
• Assists with Ballpark program and event setup and teardown. Opens and/or closes the facility.
• Resolves minor customer issues and concerns. The company provides superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Ensures the safety of guests and participants. Enforces Ballpark policies, rules, and regulations.
• Participates in pre and post-event/game meetings. Completes post-event reports of incidents in assigned area(s).

Sick leave hours will be provided based upon hours worked.
