Job summary

Truckee Donner Recreation & Park District in Truckee, CA is hiring a Recreation Leader to provide a safe, fun space for K-5 children before and after school. You will supervise activities, help with crafts and games, and support kids during homework.

Shifts run Monday through Friday, 7:00–9:00am and 2:30–5:30pm, totaling about 25–32 hours per week. Pay is $21.91 per hour, with district perks for staff and families.

Qualifications

• Must be fingerprinted through the DOJ and cleared before start.

Job description

Brief Summary:

We are excited to announce that the Recreation Department has a open Recreation Leader position available. Get paid to play with kids! The main goal is to provide a safe and fun place for kids to play until parents pick them up. The rec leader will also assist in getting kids off the school bus or directly from the school. They will also coordinate different fun and exciting activities for school age children (K-5) and implementing those activities. Job duties also include supervision of kids, crafting, playing games, homework help, and maintaining a safe and fun environment.

Hours:

25-32 per week! Shifts available: 7:00am - 9:00am Monday - Friday and 2:30pm - 5:30pm Monday - Friday

Pay:

$21.91 per hour, depending on experience, plus District perks (membership passes to the gym, pool, beach, and ice rink for employees and their families).
